Azzedine Alaïa was born in Tunisia in 1935.
Alaïa does not think of himself as a fashion designer. Rather, he likes to call himself a "batisseur" a builder or a couturier-architect.
The signature Alaïa look began to emerge in the early 80s: riveted leather industrial-zipped dresses, experimental mixes of lace and leather, silk jersey and tweed.
The Alaïa shoes makes head turns no matter if its flats or pumps.
The shoes tell their own story despite of time, and they never goes out of fashion.
The famous designer has adorned celebrities and supermodel as Heidi klum, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and Victoria Beckham with his beautiful designs.
